The World Wide Web is cluttered with links to millions of applications. The Internet has become a maze of bolt-on, niche code that drains mobile batteries and overloads CPUs. The Web is an old technology that is slow, and essentially static. The more functionality that is added to a webpage, the slower the load, putting a burden on networks and devices, particularly in mobile environments. Web links are most often used to send users to pages that have further links that send them somewhere else.

BETTER PERFORMANCE, STILL COMPATIBLE

Seff is much faster and more versatile than a webpage. Nobody expects the world to abandon the Web overnight, however. Seff is inclusive of all existing technologies, including websites. Keeping business hours up-to-date on a website is a pain. Some social media companies offer services for business owners to post their hours, but this information is frequently incorrect. To update, a business owner must contact the service provider, and that individual has to be accredited with the authority to change the account.

Posting or updating Business Hours on Seff takes a matter of seconds. It can be done by a business owner without requiring an account with a service provider. Web-based technologies like html and JavaScript were intended for large computer screens and fast processors plugged into the wall. Similarly, contacts on smartphones exist in isolation, are device-dependent, and have limited cross-silo functionality. Storing contact information in multiple places means much of it is often out of date.

Most people manage events using a combination of calendars, web pages, or applications such as Eventbrite. There is sometimes a degree of email integration, though this is often within vendor-specific environments. These notifications are static, and don’t integrate well with other types of information and media.
